The Green Finance Facilitator (GFF) is pleased to announce the selection of 14 companies for the second cohort of its flagship program. The cohort members were drawn from a wide range of sectors, from renewable energy to sustainable water and wastewater management to green buildings and a range of agriculture and agribusiness activities. The companies were chosen for their strong growth potential, operational maturity, and commitment to embedding sustainable business practices.
The GFF program enhances business resilience and investment readiness through targeted technical assistance supporting the preparation of up-to-date business models, financial models linked to past results and project growth plans and presentation documents. Participating companies receive tailored advisory services from local consulting firms (business development service providers) who they work with to develop materials that will position them as attractive, long-term prospects for responsible investors.
At the heart of GFF’s mission is a broader objective: to drive employment growth, a greener economy and a more robust SME sector. The companies in the GFF cohort are not startups, they are growing enterprises that have lacked access to business management support services as well as access to finance. By providing technical assistance to help these companies present their businesses and financing needs to banks, impact investment funds and other financial institutions, the GFF is bridging both gaps. At the conclusion of technical advisory services, the cohort companies are introduced to a range of potential financiers helping them connect with the funding they need to turn plans into actions.
The 14 companies selected to participate in Cohort Two include: A&T Ulimate Agro, Amadong Wonderful, Benyima Farms, Cure Technologies, Dwumfour Technologies, Grow it Green, HJA Africa, Jimam, Snailry Ghana, Soko Bags, Sophron Technologies, Southline Energy and ViFarms. 43% of the companies are women-owned and 79% have women in senior management. Collectively, the Cohort Two companies employ over 600 people directly in full-time and part-time positions, hire over 1000 contractors and indirectly support the livelihoods of more than 7000 individuals. A dedicated page featuring the Cohort Two members can be found on the GFF website. Please take a minute to read about them while you are visiting the website!
Our first Cohort, launched in early 2025, has successfully concluded their technical assistance work and are currently in the investment facilitation stage. A brief description of these firms can be found on the Cohort One webpage. If you are an investor or financier and would like to receive additional information about any of these companies, please contact us at info@greenfinancefacilitator.com.
The launch of this second cohort marks a new milestone in GFF’s efforts to catalyze high-impact business development through a sustainability and finance lens.
