If you submitted an application after that date, we encourage you to review the updated Project Application and Eligibility Guidelines and, if necessary, revise your application submission

Evaluation
Applications that are eligible for support will be reviewed by GFF experts, using a proprietary methodology that evaluates readiness across a number of key dimensions, awarding points for what has been achieved rather than using a binary yes/no cutoff approach to assessment.
Evaluations will consider the factors below. For additional information, please consult the Project Application and Eligibility Guidelines.
- Nature of the Business and its Value Proposition: Reference to Ghana´s climate-related plans and NDC commitments if possible.
- Quality and Credibility of the Business Plan for Operations & Investment Project Implementation, to include market understanding and analysis, governance structure, mechanisms and features, implementation plan, risk management and management team.
- Commercial (financial) viability, as evidenced by positive net profits, consistent revenues, long-term sales contracts or similar.
- Financial performance outlook, evidenced by financial projections based on realistic assumptions
- Current and projected Environmental and Social Impact, including Job Creation potential
- Quality, clarity and professionalism in the preparation and presentation of the Application
Start of Advisory
Successful applications will be invited to
conclude an “Agreement for Advisory Services” (AAS) with the GFF and a selected business advisory firm. This agreement outlines the scope of support to be provided, the conditions under
which it is provided as well as the rights of every client receiving support. The cost of
services is covered by the GFF.
